Stay Connected to Your Student’s Bus with First View®
In partnership with First Student, Bethel School District is pleased to offer First View®, a secure, real-time GPS tracking app designed to help families stay informed about their student’s school bus transportation.  
First View provides families with greater visibility into daily bus routes and arrival times, helping reduce uncertainty and improve communication around student transportation.
 
What Is First View®?
First View is a free mobile app that allows parents and caregivers to track their student’s school bus in real time using GPS technology. The app shows the current location of the bus, provides estimated arrival notifications, and shares updates related to transportation service.

Why We Encourage Families to Sign Up
By using First View, families can:

  • View the real-time location of their student’s bus
  • Receive distance-based alerts as the bus approaches the stop
  • Access route and vehicle information, including service updates
  • Add multiple caregivers or family members to receive notifications
  • Better plan mornings and afternoons, especially during traffic or weather delays
This tool is especially helpful during the first weeks of school or anytime routes may run earlier or later than expected.

How to Get Started with First View
Step 1: Download the App
First View is available for free on both iOS and Android devices. Search for “First View” in your device’s app store and create a new account.
Please note: All users must create a new account, even if you used a previous version of First View.

Step 2: Set Up Your Profile
When prompted, enter the following information:
  • District Code: U2MGN
  • Your student’s first and last name
  • Your student’s school
  • Your student’s assigned trip(s)
Step 3: Turn On Notifications
Families can customize distance notifications to receive alerts when the bus is nearing their student’s stop. Notifications can be delivered through the app or as push notifications.
Optional: Parents and caregivers may add additional family members to receive email notifications about trips.

Step 4: Begin Tracking
Once your student and notifications are set up, you can begin tracking daily bus trips directly in the app.
